4 striped bass fillets (about 8 ounces each)
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter, melted
1 tablespoon lemon pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 large onion, sliced and separated into rings
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
Juice of 2 lemons
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Dip bass fillets into melted butter, place on broiler pan. Sprinkle evenly with lemon pepper and cayenne pepper. Place onion rings on the fillets, sprinkle with Worcestershire sauce.
2. Bake for 8 minutes, then place under the broiler to brown the fish and onions, about 3 minutes longer. Fillets are done when they flake easily with a fork. Remove and sprinkle with lemon juice, serve immediately.
If your broiler and oven are not separate, remove fish while preheating broiler, so it does not overcook.
