Ingredients

1 pound carrots, sliced diagonally 1/8-inch thick, or baby carrots
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon brown sugar or honey
1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

In heavy saucepan combine carrots, butter, water, brown sugar or honey and salt; bring to a simmer, cover, and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 10 minutes for the sliced and 15 minutes for the whole baby carrots.
