Halloween has turned from a kid’s trick or treating night to an adult party, in the recent years. Of course sweet dessert treats have to be well suited for both groups. The Mystery Chef strikes again, with the boneyard party, making chocolate covered pretzel and marshmallow bones. These white and dark chocolate treats are a great centerpiece to your party table. Everyone can make their own bones and add them to the pile. Each should be a little different.

Spooky edible bones are quick and easy to do. All you need are pretzel sticks, marshmallows, white chocolate and dark chocolate. Select larger pretzels, like pretzel rods, for big bones. First, melt the chocolate in the microwave. Then take the pretzel stick and stick large marshmallows on each end of it. Dip each side into melted chocolate; hold onto the pretzel with tweezers. Dry on parchment or wax paper. If the chocolate starts to harden, simply melt it again in the microwave. After they have hardened, put them in a wood chest or make a cardboard box that’s covered with black paper. It’s also nice to add some decorations along with the bones, such as spiders, bugs, skeleton…even LED lights. Anything creative will work. Happy Halloween.
