Drink recipe courtesy of Sheree DeLorenzo, Seaport Grille, 2009.

This is a perfect drink to serve at a holiday or winter party since your guests can just help themselves. The ingredients are coffee, Sherry, Brandy, whipped cream, ground nutmeg and as an added twist, Sheree DeLorenzo adds coffee ice cream. The ice cream will help cool the drink as well as add a richer flavor. You can make this non-alcoholic by just eliminating the Sherry and the Brandy. You can also make this punch in a few minutes so wait until shortly before your guests arrive.

Hello and happy holidays to you, and I'd like to start out by making a beautiful punch for you for your holiday parties. And so I'm going to demonstrate for you a holiday eggnog. If you're having company, it's a great drink to put out because you don't have to keep on remaking drinks for your guests. They can just help themselves to a glass of punch.

So we're going to start out with a half a gallon of eggnog. And this is store-bought eggnog. This is the eggnog that you buy right in the supermarket. OK?

So that's a half a gallon of eggnog. And I like this eggnog recipe because we're taking it up a notch. And you can make this with non-alcoholic or you can make it with alcohol. For kids, of course, you want to serve with non-alcoholic.

So we're going to take three cups of cool coffee and add that right in. So I'm just going to measure it by my eye. So that's about one, two three, three cups of coffee right into the eggnog. OK? And then this will be the ice for the eggnog. This is coffee ice cream, and this is going to cool the egg not to a nice consistency. And it's also going to make it very creamy for your guests.

So we're going to add a quart of coffee ice cream. This is good coffee ice cream. Very creamy. So add that right into your punch bowl. And see I'm just eyeballing it and adding scoops of coffee ice cream right into your eggnog. How good is that? Look at that?

Then we're going to add one cup of cream sherry named after me. Here we go, one cup of cream sherry right into your eggnog. And then we're going to add one cup of brandy, and any brandy will do. This is just well brandy, house brandy. I mean, you can buy some really good brandy, but where it's a punch, I would just add one cup of brandy.

And then we are going to top it off with some whip cream. You can add some whip cream right into the eggnog in dollops like this. You can garnish your egg not right in the punch bowl with some nutmeg, some nice nutmeg. Just sprinkle that right on top. I want to show you how to serve it to the guests.

We're going to stir the eggnog after we mix it with the cream sherry, and the brandy, and the coffee, and the coffee ice cream. How great is that? We're going to take a scoop of our fresh eggnog, pour it right into this punch bowl glass, and we're going to garnish this with a dollop of fresh whipped cream that you just whipped in the mixer with sugar and vanilla, sweetened whipped cream.

You can take the canned whipped cream if you don't want to do that at home. And then sprinkle some beautiful nutmeg right on the top. Sprinkle some nice nutmeg right on the top. And here is the eggnog punch with coffee, coffee ice cream, cream sherry, brandy, whipped cream. Delicious to serve to guests. Enjoy. Cheers.
