8 ears sweet corn
4 tablespoons butter, melted
salt and pepper to taste
1. Prepare outdoor grill, placing grill rack 5 inches from heat source. Soak corn in husks in cold water for 30 minutes. Remove from water and shuck corn husks without separating from cob, remove the corn silk, and brush corn with melted butter. Season with salt and pepper. Replace husks.
2. Place corn on grill rack, grill for about 20 minutes, turning occasionally.
Leaving the corn in the husks for grilling keeps the corn sweet and juicy. Serve the corn at the table with additional melted butter for brushing.
