1 stick butter
1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
3 tablespoons honey
4 Granny Smith apples, cored and sliced 1/2 inch thick
Salt and pepper to taste


1. Prepare outdoor grill, placing grill rack 5 inches from heat. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butter, cinnamon and honey, stirring constantly.
2. Season apples with salt and pepper; place slices on hot grill. Grill apple slices about 2 minutes per side while brushing with butter mixture.

Serve as a side dish to grilled chicken breasts or pork chops. For a colorful presentation, use both red and green apples and leave the peel on.
