Ingredients

Beef tenderloin, flank or skirt steak can be substituted for the top sirloin. Make sure to slice the meat against the grain for tenderness.

Directions

1. Preheat outdoor grill with grill rack 5 inches from heat source. In a small bowl, combine oregano, garlic, salt and pepper. Press mixture evenly onto both sides of steak. Place steak on grill over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill, uncovered, about 10 to 13 minutes for medium-rare to medium doneness; turning once.
2. Remove steak from grill, drizzle with lemon juice. Let steak rest 10 minutes, then carve steak crosswise into thin slices.
3. In a serving bowl, combine mesclun and tomatoes; toss gently. Arrange beef on top of salad; serve with dressing.
