3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
2 1/2 pounds beef sirloin cut into 6 steaks
2 large sweet onions, cut crosswise into 1/2-inch thick slices
3 large red bell peppers, seeded, quartered
3 large green bell peppers, seeded, quartered
Salt to taste
1. Preheat charcoal grill or indoor broiler. Spray grill rack with non-stick spray; place rack 6 inches from heat source.
2. Combine mustard, oil and pepper. Brush over steaks, onions and peppers.
3. Place steaks on grill along with onions and peppers. Grill until well browned on one side, about 5 minutes. Turn and grill to desired doneness--about 5 to 7 minutes longer.
4. Transfer meat and vegetables to a large clean platter; sprinkle with salt and serve.
For easy entertaining, keep the cooking out of the kitchen. The flavor of the grill gives this traditional cook-out entrÈe enough excitement that little else is needed for flavoring.
