Ingredients2 (15-ounce) cans chopped tomatoes with Italian seasoning
1 pound ground beef
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon prepared mustard, or to taste
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, or to taste
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon prepared horseradish, or to taste
2 tablespoons chopped onion
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
1 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh oregano or 1/2 teaspoon dried
1 teaspoon chopped fresh basil or 1/4 teaspoon dried
1 cup packaged combined shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan and Romano cheeses
Directions1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Empty tomatoes into colander placed over a bowl to drain as you prepare "crust."
2. In bowl combine ground beef, salt, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, pepper and horseradish into bowl; stir with a fork until combined. Press meat mixture into 10-inch pie plate to make an even crust.
3. Top beef mixture with chopped tomatoes, sprinkle with onion, parsley, oregano and basil, and top with cheese. Refrigerate tomato juice in bowl for another use.
4. Place pie in oven to bake 15 minutes. Remove from oven and let stand for 5 minutes before slicing. If there is any liquid in the pie plate, spoon some of it out before serving.
Personalize this "blueprint" pizza with your favorite toppings. And here's a tip: Mozzarella shreds more quickly and easily if it is very cold. So if you plan to shred your own for the pizza, freeze it briefly before shredding.
