18 medium fresh mushrooms
1/2 pound pork sausage
1 cup prepared tomato sauce
1 cup white wine
1/2 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Wash mushrooms; remove and chop stems. Add stems to sausage. Stuff the caps with sausage mixture, rounding mixture into a high crown.
2. Place mushrooms on baking sheet; bake until mushrooms are browned and sausage is cooked through, about 30 minutes.
3. In a medium saucepan, combine tomato sauce, white wine, garlic and oregano, simmer until heated through, about 4 minutes. Place mushrooms in serving dish, pour over sauce. Spear mushrooms with toothpicks and serve.
These mushrooms can also be kept warm in a chafing dish and served as part of a party buffet.
