1 ? pounds strawberries, sliced
º cup sugar
? cup dry Marsala or white wine
1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint


In a large mixing bowl, combine the ingredients, making sure the strawberries are well coated with the sugar. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate 4 hours to allow the flavors to develop.

If you prefer a thicker sauce, simmer 1 ? cups of orange juice with 1 ? teaspoons of cornstarch until thickened, stirring constantly, cool, and fold in the strawberries and wine.
