Ingredients

1/4 cup sesame oil
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 1/2 pounds mullet fillets
1 tablespoon paprika
8 slices french bread, toasted
8 romaine lettuce leaves
8 tomato slices

Directions

1. Preheat broiler. In a small bowl, combine oil and garlic. Brush fillets with oil mixture; place on broiler pan. Sprinkle generously with paprika.
2. Broil 4 inches from heat until fish flakes easily, about 5 minutes. Serve on french bread with lettuce and tomatoes.

If mullet is unavailable, substitute Spanish mackerel or bluefish fillets. Serve with tartar sauce or mayonnaise, if desired.
