2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
2 cups chopped pecans
6 green onions, chopped
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
1 (8-ounce) package light cream cheese
1 teaspoon reduced fat mayonnaise
1 (10-ounce) jar red or green pepper jelly


1. In a large bowl, combine Cheddar, pecans, green onions, parsley, cream cheese and mayonnaise. Spread in glass pie plate or quiche dish. Cover and let stand in refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.
2. When ready to serve, cover cheese mixture with pepper jelly.

Serve the spread with crackers, pita chips or toasted baguette slices.
