1/4 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon Szechuan sauce
1 pound flank or boneless sirloin steak
8 ounces angel hair pasta
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 cups broccoli florets
1 pound fresh white mushrooms, halved
1 cup chopped tomatoes or 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1. Prepare outdoor grill, placing grill rack 5 inches from heat, or preheat broiler. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce and Szechuan sauce. Place steak in a shallow bowl or platter; pour half of the soy mixture over the steak; cover and refrigerate 45 minutes.
2. Cook pasta according to package directions; meanwhile, in a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add garlic; cook and stir for 30 seconds. Add broccoli; cook until crisp-tender, about 3 minutes. Add prepared mushrooms; cook until tender, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in tomatoes and remaining soy mixture.
3. Add mushroom-broccoli mixture to pasta; toss well. Cover to keep warm. Place steak on a grill rack or broiler pan; grill or broil, 3 to 4 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Thinly slice steak on the diagonal, serve with the fresh mushroom pasta toss.
If you can't find Szechuan sauce, substitute an equal amount of hot sesame oil.
