4 slices whole wheat or white bread, cut into cubes
1/2 cup skim milk
1 egg, beaten
1 small onion, chopped
2 tablespoons dried oregano
3 tablespoons dried mint
2 teaspoons chopped garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 pound ground venison

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a large bowl, combine bread cubes and milk; let stand 5 minutes.
2. Add egg, onion, oregano, mint, garlic, salt and pepper; mix well. Add venison, mix just to combine. Roll into 1 inch balls and place on a greased baking pan. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until your desired degree of doneness.

Serve as an hors d'oeuvre, with a toothpick in each meatball for easy pick up. The meatballs can be made ahead and baked off right before your guest arrive.
